STUFF!

Goldfinch60

Before you read my poem I would like to thank you all for the wonderful support that you gave to me after my poem that I put on the site yesterday.  MPS is so supportive and I am so glad that I have such wonderful friends on here, thank you all.

Take care

Andy.

STUFF!

It’s everywhere,

STUFF!

We all have it,

STUFF!

We keep getting more.

It can be good stuff,

It can be bad stuff.

The world,

And my cupboards,

And loft,

And shed,

And garage,

Are full of it,

STUFF!

You can’t get away from it,

STUFF!

Increasing all the time,

STUFF!

How much STUFF do you have?

  • Poetic Dan

You caught me! I have way to much and every time I clear it out, it just get filled back up!

Great writing and a wonderful start as I'm sure you know it's better with the you that we know.

    Much peace and respect

    • Goldfinch60

Thank you Dan, that stuff is always with us.

Good write Gold. Is it all rubbish though, the stuff? Or do we still keep it anyway?

      • Goldfinch60

There is a saying that if you haven't used anything for six months it should be thrown out. Last week my next door neighbour had a flat battery on his car and his battery charger he had lent to somebody else so I lent him mine and to my knowledge it hadn't been used for at least 40 years. It still worked!

Your intro really touched me Andy - we do have a great bunch on here but why so few of us? As for the poem it's not a bad bit of stuff - keep penning.

        • Goldfinch60

Thanks Michael. Yes there are some wonderful people on here. As for stuff look at the reply I have just written for Orchi.

        • Suresh

We are all hoarders of all that STUFF,
my first scribble, my first grade,
my first ribbon from the parade
God know I can't take it with me
Nor convince a member of family
There is no intrinsic value, chump
One day they'll all be in a dump

WHAT, hoarded over years, my STUFF!!!!!!

          • Goldfinch60

Yes once I have left this mortal coil my STUFF may end up on the dump but it could cost my kids their inheritance to move it all.

Oh this chimes too much with my cluttered life.
I am going to ebay my junk. And i have just discovered that facebook has selling groups throughout our county. De-cluttering will be my 2019 goal.

Though i fear that Poetic Dan has hit the reality and i will only end up re-cluttering.

            • Goldfinch60

I am afraid that it is in our souls that we cannot live without STUFF no matter how hard we try.

            • Neville

              • Goldfinch60

Thank you Neville, it is all over the place.

              • Fay Slimm.

Stuff follows me everywhere my friend - - it gets dumped but I swear it creeps back to my cupoards behind my back. Good read again.

                • Goldfinch60

Yes Fay, STUFF seems to have a mind of its own.
