We sat there drinking our coffee
When she said to me,
“I have a mouth full of words”.
What a strange expression I thought,
I wonder what caused her to say that,
But the words just did not come.
She looked at me in silence,
Smiled and drunk her coffee,
Back into her own world,
Her own world of dementia.
She looked up at me,
Smiled,
Said “I love you”,
Were they the words that had filled her mouth,
I wonder.

Love is a many splendoured thing. Giving ones love, letting it radiate from you is like that 'Ready Brek glow' in the old TV advert.
Were they the words which filled her mouth?... they were words which filled her heart methinks.

Thank you for your kind words.
There are many a times when we remember an event, an instance, an incident and we want to share it, but all we eventually do is express our feeling. I believe she wanted to share such an instance but only expressed her true feelings.
Thank you Suresh, I am sure that you are right.
