Exams were passed,
University place confirmed,
She was off into her world.
So much advice given her,
But the final words to her
Meant so much,
As she drove off
With those words,
Those words of her Mum
Echoing in her soul,
“Be yourself.
You are lovely”.

This is the time when the parents feel the greatest joy and greatest worries- and the only thing they can do is to send them off with loving words like these

Yes I thought so, thank you Neville.
Well...
If five words ever nade the heart melt... there they are. True love is all the poetry we need, you can't improve it.
Well captured G
I remembered my daughter setting out into the world
Thank you for the memory
They do melt the heart don’t they. I am sure your daughter had a wonderful send off into the world from her caring, loving Father.
Ah Takes me back to the time My daughter left for UNI Mum gave the Advise cos I was too choked up wit apprehansion and Worry. I fine write my friend Thank you
It is so moving when our children move into a world of their own. Thank you for your fine comments.
Setting them free into a world of opportunity yet knowing the greater picture is an anxious time. Best dealt with with encouragement and confidence building. Choice words from mum indeed. Happier times.
Flugel horn first came to my attention when played alongside flute (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1wiShnu2QM) and is a delight to hear here.
Encouragement and love is the best way to send them off, it seems to have worked for my kids.
Couldn’t get that track to play will try on PC tomorrow. Great sounds from Flugelhorn horn as ever, seen it played many times in Brass Bands at Pershore Summer Brass.
What beautiful words to hear as you go on your way to a new life etc... those words will ever be treasured.
They will be Fay, thank you.
I have a wonderful granddaughter going off to Uni in September so I know the feelings behind this write.
It is a great time for them as they go into the world with the love of parents and grandparents encouraging them.
