Strange Awakening.

Goldfinch60

Each day I awake at dawn

And there to greet me

Is the glorious sound,

The glorious sound of a robin.

Its melodic chant touches me,

And shows me how lucky,

How lucky I am.

Today was different,

As I know each day is different.

The robin was silent

Until it was awakened,

Awakened by a raucous noise,

The raucous call of a rook.

So today, like every day,

Will be different,

As it started out that way,

Even before I arose.

As that old song goes "Ev'ry body dreams about a new world in the mornin".
Good that you notice differences and life has not become just one more same old same old.

Have a good 'rook day' then, instead of a 'robin day'! I dunno what sort of days they will be, but there ya go.....

          • Goldfinch60

Each day is wonderful as I managed to get up to be in them.

And a fine day it is. The blackbird is sining here although a robin whose chest is as red as they come - yup it's a wonderful world.

It surely is Michael, and it can be seen and heard in words, music and art.

Birdsong in the morning. What a great way to start your day. "Cherish every living moment" is made profound when we observe nature, or listen to it. Thanks for the uplifting start to my day. - Phil A.
