My Holiday Kitchen

My Holiday Kitchen

I cook meals that are delicious

And wipe the oven clean

And I wash the dirty dishes

Of my spacious kitchen scene

When my family comes inside

We’re happy to see each other

And when it is holiday time

We share a meal with one another

After lunch some take a nap

In a recliner where they do not move

And after they’ve relaxed

Watch football in the afternoon

When the football game is done

The men all go out back

And the kids play chase and run

And teenagers play some catch

And adults find supper is good

With a little glass of wine

And it is understood

That the cook makes meals divine

Thank you, Laura! Thanksgiving and Christmas are near feasts for my family. Desserts are real hits to us at those times of the year.

Our family holidays revolve around food. Chocolate and cherry pies are real favorites!
