Raindrop.

Goldfinch60

The window was in front of me,

I looked out and stopped,

Stopped and looked at the raindrops,

The raindrops on the window.

Each one so still,

Each one unique.

I looked into one and saw its world,

The world from which it came.

Born of mist,

Mist risen from the sea,

Rising into clouds

As they formed in the sky.

Those clouds sailed over the earth

And gathered,

Became thicker,

Until that mist came together,

Came together to form drops.

Those drops fell from the sky,

They landed on the earth,

And one landed on a window,

Landed on a window for me to see.

I looked at it,

I looked in it,

And found it’s world,

It’s world sitting there before me.

A fine write Gold. Did 'em raindrops keep fallin' on ya head, as the song goes?!
Pity it didn't rain that day in 1066. The battle may have been cancelled. Oohh, too wet to fight. Tally ho, let's cancel it.

Thanks Orchi, it was by the seaside, it always rains by the seaside when you are there with me!

Ahh, maybe that's why that archer couldn't see too well, with the rain falling, and then I had to go and say to Harold 'Look up, Sire'. The rest is history!

I have many a times watched rain drops glide down a window pane. A single drop, gliding down and then suddenly changes course and merges with a track left by another.

Have you ever felt a rain drops that actually felt warm - I have, the first monsoon showers, when it is still blistering hot.

          AH! Well, memories

It made me think of the WATER CYCLE one of Mother Natures great blessings. To purify the WATER and CLEANSE the Atmosphere and the Biosphere *And I say to myself : What a Wonerful World* and it is the prismatic raindrops that give us the Glory of Rainbows : AMEN Love the clip from BONNY & CLYDE very very romantic !

Quote "and i think to myself, what a wonderful world".

Showing us here Goldfinch, amongst all your trials and troubles of today, the wonder of human nature in this wonderful world.
The positive mind acknowledges the world as it is yet finds beauty, for yes, we are beautiful creatures in a beautiful world.

I love your rain reflection and thank you so much for the best scene from Butch Cassidy....... I just love that movie and that scene in particular...... somewhere he says (jokingly) "Your cold white flesh is mine all mine" and it cracked me up. Stupid remark of the day: "Why can't they make movies like that any more?"
