In the 1970s DORIS DAY created a FOUNDATION for ANIMALS.
People used to drop off Unwanted Animals @ Her California Home.
She rescued unwanted & abandoned CATS & DOGS and even inspected
personally ~ Homes of would-be Owners to make sure they were OK !
In 1987 (when She was 65) She founded the DORIS DAY ANIMAL LEAGUE.
In 2007 (when She 85) it merged with The Humane Society of the US.
She sponsored *PET FRIENDLY HOTELS* including her Own Cypress Inn
in CARMEL CALIFORNIA ~ There is ONLY ONE DORIS DAY ~ AMEN !

A fine tribute B&A. A good long life, to age 97. Well, you're gonna be 117 you say. Will that be you, B or A?!
THANKS UNCLE STEVE ~ Yes Id settle for 97 ~ We Biochemists have calculated that 117 is about the MAX any Human can survive ! Ive chose 117 because that would be 2100 (the next Century) and I am interested to see what the population will reach (15 billion ?) and the CO2 (1000ppm form 400 ppm) and a 3C rise in Average Temperature |(up to 19C). Most of Planet earth will be uninhabitable ~ much better in 1066 !
