Having just freshened the room for summer
Bright new pillows fewer cluttered pieces
Pretty
And silent
I sit somewhat at peace to see something lovely
Around me
If you can't be here
I will content myself with this
I will tell myself that nothing is amiss
That all is well
That this surely is bliss

A fine write Lorna.
You are very serious this morning Orchi - I'm worried.
Happiness is after all a frame of mind. So is contentment.
You're so right but sometimes they are elusive...........
Cooeee! Woof Woof! Still a bit barking mad here! heehee. It's Fido - he never let's me have 'excitement' in case I swoon..
That's better...........
Oh, why - or how - did I appear serious?! I didn't notice it my self (heehee).
Great tune to go with a delightful read, yes when we don't know. Just think positively and hum a little song!
Sounds like Walt Disney "Whistle While We Work" .... the mate to that is "Wish Upon a Star" .... sometimes it works Dan....
A taste of summer in a change of decor -what a wonderful idea for a poem and you capture the feel of contentment so well Lorna.
Thanks Fay....... resignation brings contentment........ ha
Love the poem sad yet - aw heck can't think of the word but you'll know what I mean.
As for the choice of painting thanks so much for the dedication I feel flattered. However looking at it with an artists eye I have to wonder why the great Picasso put a p***s on her chin. lol
I suspect he didn't like women very much - hmmmm? If he saw them like that??? Modigliani melted them, Picasso disproportioned them - Renoir - now HE loved them!
Then I'm a Renoir man - must put that on my CV.
Beautiful write Lorna - your red cushions draws me in for a single lit scented candle, complete silence, and a good spiritual book.
Bliss is always with you Lorna as your words on the page show us.
Thank you Andy..... It really has to be looked for sometimes as you well know.............
