The ink is black,
The page is white,
My poetic vision is stagnant,
I'm struggling to write.
Is it the difficult day job that has made my mind blank?
My period, has this made my creative thoughts stale?
Still I endeavour with the poetic process,
I will write an incredible poem without fail.

Yes you will my friend! The struggle of working a 9-5 whilst trying to feed your writers hand - great piece.
Hello Caleb,
Thanks for reading. I am very honoured.
Keep the creative process going and keep writing of course.

You will, you will. Often when my brain goes numb something is seen or heard that gives inspiration - usually something that others wouldn't recognise.
Hello Michael.
Thanks for reading and for your encouragement. Hope the Open studio show went well?

Yes very successful with quite a few sales and a couple of commissions - but it was hard work.
You could always write an invisible poem in white ink. It could go on for, ooh, about 5,437 verses. Of course, no-one will be able to see it - and so no one will know when they've reached the end of it! heehee. If I do a 'Notice of Absence' it will say 'Gone to the Mad House!'
Hi Orchidee,
Thanks for your words of encouragement.
White ink poem on the invisible man perhaps?
I'll think of something to write.
Take care and keep on writing.

FineB let it ride. You dont have to write. Sometimes we poets are not inspired. I have had a long dry spell and i take it as it comes.
Don't feel you HAVE to write, just write when you feel like it. Unless you get paid by the word or line.
Hello Dusk Arising,
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I hope that your dry spell is over and that you have been inspired to write?

Those words can be hard to write sometimes but it is surprising what happenings in your life can trigger a torrent of words.
As you say, Keep writing.
Hello Goldfinch60.
Thanks.
In our lives what moves us and happens to us is indeed rich material for our poetry.
