The Initiation
Perfectly undressed and waiting
Wide eyed
And just the slightest bit afraid
The alter gown discarded
Her virginity displayed
Then wanting without wanting
That her innocence should please him
She offered up her maidenhead
To satisfy the blade

Worded with care by your much missed pen is innocence on display - the travesty of initiation at which I can only wonder in this day and age and at which I guess every western female must shudder - - - thanks Nev. for an honest and informed review of part of the on -going ceremony
thank you dear Fay.. this is one from the archives but yes... it does still go on.. I was prompted to post it here today following an e-mail I received from the Matron of a hospital in Africa at which I previously volunteered....

Swoon! lol. Ahh, Maidenhead - a town not too far from me. That's all I would know about it! Fido won't let me find out more. lol.
I almost smiled at that...
But seriously - I see the theme. Horrific, meaning a real blade, not...….
I did the second visit...
One hopes the recipient is duly appreciative.
thank you for visiting these words... Neville
Such an awful thing to happen to the innocence of those who are forced to have it done in this day and age.
Good write though Neville.
How very kind and very true sir....many thank you's, GF60...

Good write though Neville.
A powerful write about one of the most awful and disgusting practices that still so sadly persists.
thank you Michael for your visit, interpretation and shared opinion.... Neville
All the butchers that robs her of their maidenhead, must pay with their own heads.
I feel very strongly about such issues, where one gender has the right over another just because of their bronze for they have no brains.
the practice is indeed abhorrent & your term butcher is probably one of the most appropriate that springs to mind.... Many thanks for taking time to consider my words and of course the theme on which it is solely based..... or might there be some other inspiration hidden here... Neville
