When I was YOUNG and just a TEEN
Id strut my stuff : like a Disco Queen
But now the years have rumbled on
And now Im THIRTY ONE !
I studied hard to get a JOB
Wanting to earn an honest BOB
But now those Student Days have gone
MY GOD : Im THIRTY ONE !
There were BOYS : Ive has a few
Pedro : Gino : Hank & Hugh
OOOOOOOO : I remember Big Bad John
BUT now Im THIRTY ONE !
I graduated got my POST
And now Im earning : more than most
Im training those you rely on ........
And ME ? Im THIRTY ONE !
Why did I leave it Oh so LATE
To play the field and find a MATE
The Dating Fields are bare and gone
Im COLD : Im OLD : Im THIRTY ONE !
BUT I MET BRIAN ~ Now I see
That FATE had planned a MAN for ME
Im HAPPY as a Flying Swan
Im YOUNG : RESPRUNG : Im THIRTY ONE !

had a point : Men like to be *on top* physically ! When I turned
THIRTY she reminded me : Loretta Lynn was an ABUELA (GMAMA)
at Thirty Four and now she is 87 and a multimillionaire ! Never

GRACIAS FAY : Pleased you enjoyed my LAMENT. Thanks for you BIRTHDAY GREETINGS ! Iguess when I turned 30 with no HUSBAND and no BAMBINO I had not lived up to LA MIA ABUELAS expectations. In her day Girls married @ 17 and were MAMAS @ 18. Loretta Lynn (Country Singer) was a exception Mother @ 16 and her daughter a Mother @ 18 making Loretta a GMAMA @ 34 ! She has a personal fortune of $60 million and is still singing ! She won a lot of Glamorous Grannie Competitions ! I expect to be a MUM before Im 35 and perhaps Una Abuela @ 65 : QUIEN SABE ?

Thanks UNCLE ANDY : My POEM about age was rather Tongue in CHEEK ! Being a committed Christian I had FAITH that the right Mna would turn up and BRIAN has. My Family (being Spanish) Were rather worried about my Lack of Maritial Status especially : My GRANDMAMA ! Theyre OK now Ive set the DATE : EASTER 2020 ! Scientists say 117 is the limit : we shall see ! Sunday Morning (8am) here just getting ready for CHURCH !

I agree I face every year as it comes : and for Me every one has been very exciting ! 2020 will be extra-special as a Married Lady with Brian 24/7 : AMEN ! And then (soon after that ?) a MAMA ! The future is very rosy ! I love my JOB and it is one I can do part time : or return to when my Kids have all started School (2030 ?). 25 (gone) 50 (soon) 75 (sounds great) Retired & a chance to see the World ! I guess BRIAN & I will have to work til we are 75 !

Thirty one is no longer what is used to be several centuries ago (when the life span was thirties), so from that point of view, you are still a toddler, or at worst a teen, love and live, live and love.

Thanks SURESH for your encouraging reply ! At Parties I often still act like a TEEN especially when I start DANCING : Twisting & Shouting ! In terms of UK life expectancy for *normal* Females my age I only 1/3rd into my life. Its the Spanish Side of my Family who think I should be a Married MAMA by now : especially La Mia Abuela ! I have loved (and will love) every YEAR of MY LIFE and every age has its compensations ! YES I do Love to Live & Live to Love !

Thanks for your comment & Q Uncle Andy ! I am a Sports PHYSIOTHERAPIST and we have to be cruel to be KIND : No GAIN without PAIN. My Patient is a GOALKEEPER who twisted his back making a cruicial save (There is always a PRICE for VICTORY !) The *Elbow in the Back ploy* is a sure way to realign the vertebrae ! You can see from the picture why no one (who's seen me in action) wanted to MARRY ME ! My poem is a little *Tongue in Cheek* and in todays Female Life Expectancy for the 30+ Im only 1/3rd through. YES BRIAN and I have made wonderful plans for the future but we are prepared for BAD time as well as GOOD : AMEN. BRIAN always looks after his BACK and no longer BUNGEE JUMPS or CLIMBS up & down Waterfalls !
