Tune: St Hugh
('Lord, teach us how to pray aright')
Psalm 77 v.5-13
*********
I considered the days of old
The years of yore I told
I recalled my song in th night
And I gained inward sight
I did commune with my own heart
The Lord does search each part
My spirit searched diligently
His ways again to see
Will He cast off for evermore?
His favour gone for sure?
Has He forgot His graciousness?
Will He no longer bless?
Has His mercy ceased completely?
His promise no more be?
This is my state, anguish, but I
Still sense His presence nigh
I will remember Him, His ways
In past, now present days
On His works I will meditate
He will help me not late
His way is in the sanctuary* (*temple)
There true His presence be
He still great God, reigns over all
Shall hear my prayer, my call

I'm still in awe of your ability to write these at such a consistent and high standard - keep writing Orchi.
Thanks M. As I say, nothing written some days; then other days maybe 1,2, or 3. You know Aww (awe) Berles, whoever he/she is? A relation of Ma Berles?
Sure is and there is another sister - Bawb Berles - she's always hanging around.
Has Ma lost her Berles?!
Thanks UNCLE STEVE ~ Another great HYMN & POEM. In OUR experience PRAYER (in the New Testament & OT) knows no RITUAL or BOUNDRIES ! We can pray anytime anywhere anyhow ~ even from the INSIDE OF WHALE ! The important thing is that we DO PRAY especially for THERESA MAY ~ AMEN
Blessings to You and Your Powerful Pooch
In my Uncles House when they prayed ~ Laddie crossed his PAWS !
Love in the SPIRIT ~ ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡🧡 + 🧡
Thanks B&A. I'm off to jump inside a whale then! Erm, I not quite got the hang of things.
Your Lord will never part
With you always, in your heart.
Thanks Suresh.
Good one once more Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
