A GLASS HALF EMPTY OR A GLASS HALF FULL.

Michael Edwards

A GLASS HALF EMPTY OR A GLASS HALF FULL.

Whether it’s flat or full of fizz

it matters not whatever it is.

Do you know what?  -   If it’s alcohol

just give me the glass and I’ll drink it all.

If the glass is half full
    You have been cheated,
If the glass is half empty
    You have drunk some.

Mine's a Rioja please Michael - a full glass please.

A fine write and pic M. I wondered why I'm always thirsty. I keep drinking the empty half of the glass. Doh!

    • Michael Edwards

If you pour away the empty half you can get to the full half easily - just place glass against lips and tilt (the glass that is - not yourself).

Ahh good. You seen that Laurel & Hardy's scene? They share a drink, but Laurel goes first, and drinks it all. He says: 'I couldn't help it; my half of the drink was on the bottom half of the glass!'

Sod the glass, pass me the bottle.

        And I agree with Goldfinch.

Ah but is the bottle half full? If so which half?

          Hi Michael,

A lovely poem and a pretty picture too.

I'll take my glass half full with a nice glass of German white wine or the finest Prosecco.

          Keep writing Fine B

And mines red - we could drink the cellar dry.

I'll drink to that, although I rarely partake, this little creative shot is intoxicatingly well rhymed .... Neville

....well this would get me start drinking again, and I'm so drunk, I only see the top half full

Entertaining as usual, along with all the comments, including L&H skits.

Come and share a bottle - where are you - are you too far away?

Oh that's a shame - I'll have to drink it all myself.

              • Poetic Dan

To early for me but a fabulously read indeed, if I drink it will be from a fountain 😉

                • Michael Edwards

Fountains of wine - now where's my bucket?
