  It does not need to be Christians who help people, we should all do our bit to help others with with or without religion.

    Thanks UNCLE ANDY for pointing that important fact out ! I printed the POEM as sung beautifully by Mary Duff and close to Harry's origonal words. When I was in the Scouts our MANTRA was ~ Trusty ~ Loyal ~ HELPFUL ~ Brotherly ~ Courteous ~ Kind ~ Obedient ~ Cheerful ~ Thrifty ~ Pure in Body & Mind. A tall order for Teens but we DOB (did our best !) Scouts could be any RELIGION or (often) NONE. The point HARRY was making was that ~ As a Committed Christian He had the DESIRE & WILLINGNESS to be a HELPER at all times ~ OK ! You set an example to us all be being a Great Helper to JOYCE 24/7 ~ AMEN !

  Thanks UNCLE STEVE for a very droll comment ! When we are Helping People we do have to be aware of our Limitations. BRIAN & I are skilled FIRST-AIDERS and it has often come in useful in the case of ACCIDENTS etc ! When Angela sings for SENIORS etc it sends them to HEAVEN (not literally !) If you SANG : Im not sure where it would send them ?

    THANKs FAY ~ ANGELA and I were brought up to be HELPERS and we both work in SERVING PROFESSIONS ~ I as an FE / HE Lecturer and ANGELA who is a PHYSIOTHERAPIST ! We love this song especially when sung by the Lovely Mary Duff !

    GRAZIE LAURA ~ Nosta Cara Amica ! A nos piace que Tu amore Nostra Canto e Poesia ! Being a HELPER is a Gift of the Spirit so All Christians should be Helpers ! However as ANDY & FAITH point out that anybody can be a HELPER irrespective of their FAITH or LACK of FAITH ~ OK WE always try to helpful in our POEMS & REPLIES on MPS ~ OK

    Yes indeed UNCLE MIKE ~ HS was larger than life nd even though his hayday was befor my TIME ~ MY DAD says his overall influence was much greater that HE KNEW ! If more CHRISTIANS were like HS ~ CHRISTIANITY would rival *Sliced Bed* for Popularity. I'll have check to on COPYRIGHT but they are altered slightly and it is a TRIBUTE not PLAGERISM !

    Something I used to lecture on at Uni - strictly any reproduction without express consent constitutes a breach even with changes in words. In fact copyright holders get even more irate with word changes.
    
    This is also a major issue in the art world where artists who copy the work of others other than for their own learning experience are in constant danger of being found in breach even if they acknowledge the artist on whose work they have based their own.
    
    
    There is plenty of case law on this issue which extends well beyond simple plagiarism. However whether anyone would pursue the matter is a long shot and it might be a risk worth taking.
    
    Having said that recently one of my paintings was used by a website and although they acknowledged me as the artist I was furious that they had done so without my permission. I raised a complaint and they now pay me a copyright fee for the privilege.
