I've got an alligator and it's eaten all my shoes
Then I added a little mouse, it kept on running loose
I tried to get some Penguins but one freezer isn't enough
There was a lion in the bushes, until the monkeys had a laugh
Now I'm sitting looking out, on top of my giraffe
The chipmunks are already losing, on my video game
While the cat's & dog's are partying, many more on the way
If only I had listened, to the elephant that's painting everyday
Who said to me we should always, double lock the gate
These are a few of my friends, home and here to stay

All the cats in the grass
will stand up and smile
at the very first cry
from your newly born child
all those neighborhood dogs
will woof with delight
when youre pushing a pram
and stop you on sight
the birds up above
have a cunning wee plan
to sing every morning
for the children of Dan
the bees in the flowers
gonna buzz out a rap
for that lil girl blossom
or that lil boy chap
Dontcha just love kiddies rhymes.
Yours is a superb nonsense piece today.
Buddy that was so delightfully done, I really laughed out loud with the song for the children of Dan (I could hear the pipes piping) your wit of returns never fail to bring me what I need.... Legion!
There was a poem I made up with my grandson, I can't remember it all:
There was a monkey swinging in the window
And the window was open
The monkey went flying through the window
But his tail got caught in the jam
Kiddies rhymes are quirky but it's the laugh that follows which is fun. Have a lot of funny moments
Brilliant, yes they most definitely are.
Now I get it, you are a wise grandpa
Always appreciated
Very nice, lovely imagery, and a really good message about security.
Bravo!
Thanks for your cheers
And popping your head in
Spectacular bit of rhyming!
Hats off!
A delightful read Dan.
Back again, I thank you my friend. Could you make sure it's locked when you leave or maybe keep a key 😉
Wonderful write Dan, may baby sparkle enjoy your words and love.
The others are so all is good in my hood!
