Whispers.
Walking old tight-rope
Night falls as Morning
adjusts lusty dreams while show opens.
Bold movement occurs
when Day-shards invade
and take Dark to behold Dawn's fervour.
Foreplay-beams centre
round stage set for change
then luminous rays brace birth's attempt.
Glint of first ardour
coats trees' dim shadows
as wind stirs oaks to expose bare arms.
Ready and willing
brightness woos sombre
and unwanted black presence is stilled.
Beaten night's terror
by clarity's fight
when day's radiant rise makes an ascent.
Listen to whispers
Of Dawn's waking yawns
as she sits at Sun's door as yet unkissed.

Fay I love this style and a fitting tribute to this beautiful morning.
The thought that this day is a whole life for some beings makes the dawn such a precious tantalising moment for them.
You captured this emotion with both hands and threw it out there like an Axinaea confusa flower
Thank you
Your thoughtful comment is very welcome Andrew - am so pleased you felt the emotion of morning's take-over from night in this little tribute to the effort change needs.
and who would mind waking up to this.... totally captivating in its entirety ..... Neville
ps... No one could possibly object..
Could wake any day myself to Dawn's lusty show. Grateful thanks for assessing its rating Nev........... didn't know whether to press the 18. for this one........... Fay
I got ya back covered... I personally think you made the write decision Fay, I'm not keen on that button.... N
.......Oooooh you are very kind in covering my back......... merci very beaucoup dear friend..........x
you are more than welcome..
A fine write Fay. I'm gonna be gloomy - the Sun (last stanza). Only about 3 weeks before it starts getting dark again. Oops, wishing the year away!
The sun may pale and hide behind change but its warmth is there even on grey days - thanks for the comment dear Orchi.
Lovely write, a beautiful tribute to the wonder of nature
Ah - sincere thanks Seren and so pleased you liked the read.
This is Fay at her finest. You are marvellous with the dawn. It's almost as if you have made it yours in your writing. Truly, dawn before us, from your hands, shows us your appreciation of something beautiful.
Favourites bound....
Oh what an encouraging compliment D A - you are spot on with your comment on me and my love of early morning - so much to fancy when light breaks through dark........... another big thank you for saving this posting - my blushes are rising to match the pink sunset here.
And it's a favourites from me.
Wow - - a massive thank you Mike for saving this write - - the saga of dawn always changes to thrill my poet's mind -- - I fancy the reasons and form seasonal stories - - so here's to a next time .
I spoke of dusk, you speak of dawn-ing
One speaks of sleep, another wakes up yawning
A lovely read indeed
You summed up the difference so well Suresh - thank you my friend for your visit and comment.
GOOD MORNING FAY : I know its MIDNIGHT for YOU : but its 12 noon (Friday) here and my next Clinic is not til 2pm ! So I have minute to grab a BITE and respond to your lovely POEM (mega busy !) DAWN is exceptional in Auckland (surrounded by Blue Sea) each one is different but equally beautiful. I love all the references to LOVE in each STANZA : Its not *18* its Sweet Sixteen (just 15 years ago for ME !)
1. Lusty Dreams to herald the show
2. Dawns fervour banishes Dark Night
3. FOREPLAY a Ladies pleasure in any context !
4. Glint of the first ardour of SUNRISE : AWESOME
5. Ready - Willing (& Able) : YES Sweetness & Light
6. The radient rise of LOVE : in each New Day !
7. DARKNESS is banished - AGAIN : And DAWN sits
at SUNS DOOR ~ ready & waiting to be KISSED ~ AMEN !
I a meaningful way ~ each verse reminded me of each DAWNING in our CAMPER VAN trip round SOUTH ISLAND ! When I woke to the Sunrise (each morning) My beloved BRIAN was really there (not a Dream !) right beside Me ! For us (on that trip) *Love in the Morning* made each day even more Special ! Thanks for caring & sharing FAY : about Young love - In the Dawning of the Morning : AMEN. Memories are made of THIS ! Love the Picture of *The Golden Nymph of the Dawn !*
Blessings abundant & Peace & Love
Yours as always - ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
