WHISPERS.

Fay Slimm.

Whispers.

Walking old tight-rope
Night falls as Morning
adjusts lusty dreams while show opens.

Bold movement occurs
when Day-shards invade
and take Dark to behold Dawn's fervour.

Foreplay-beams centre
round stage set for change
then luminous rays brace birth's attempt.

Glint of first ardour
coats trees' dim shadows
as wind stirs oaks to expose bare arms.

Ready and willing
brightness woos sombre
and unwanted black presence is stilled.

Beaten night's terror
by clarity's fight
when day's radiant rise makes an ascent.

Listen to whispers
Of Dawn's waking yawns
as she sits at Sun's door as yet unkissed.

Fay I love this style and a fitting tribute to this beautiful morning.

The thought that this day is a whole life for some beings makes the dawn such a precious tantalising moment for them.

You captured this emotion with both hands and threw it out there like an Axinaea confusa flower

    Thank you

    • Fay Slimm.

Your thoughtful comment is very welcome Andrew - am so pleased you felt the emotion of morning's take-over from night in this little tribute to the effort change needs.

A fine write Fay. I'm gonna be gloomy - the Sun (last stanza). Only about 3 weeks before it starts getting dark again. Oops, wishing the year away!

              • Fay Slimm.

The sun may pale and hide behind change but its warmth is there even on grey days - thanks for the comment dear Orchi.

This is Fay at her finest. You are marvellous with the dawn. It's almost as if you have made it yours in your writing. Truly, dawn before us, from your hands, shows us your appreciation of something beautiful.

                  Favourites bound....

                  • Fay Slimm.

Oh what an encouraging compliment D A - you are spot on with your comment on me and my love of early morning - so much to fancy when light breaks through dark........... another big thank you for saving this posting - my blushes are rising to match the pink sunset here.

I spoke of dusk, you speak of dawn-ing
One speaks of sleep, another wakes up yawning

                      A lovely read indeed

                      • Fay Slimm.

You summed up the difference so well Suresh - thank you my friend for your visit and comment.
