LIMPET LUCY

Michael Edwards

LIMPET LUCY

Throughout the night

she clings on tight

does Limpet Lucy

just like glue

the whole night through

that’s  Limpet  Lucy.

A narrow ledge

at mattress edge

her tight embrace

leaves little space

for she is truly

Limpet Lucy.

I sometimes have to be 'Hold-on Andy' as Joyce is an edge of the bed sleeper.

Limpet Lucy ~ sounds quite JUICY
Holds on tight ~ ALL NIGHT !

Thanks for sharing UNCLE MIKE ~ Love the BLUES on BLUES ~ very cool & soothing ~ ideal for a Dentists or a GPs Surgery ! Preferable to the *SCREAM* or *GUERNICA* !

This one is heading for a house out in one the villages - done as a commission and hoping it goes down well although I may do a bit of tweaking before I hand it over.

Good write and pic M. Would this be Lucy Limpet-Berles?!

Reminds me of Orchi's dog Fido
He lost his left ear to a Flymo
      His pee ruined the lawn
      But now that he's gawn
      Orchi's dug a 6ft deep Lido

And i've read that since that wee skirmish at Hastings
      Time has gone simply a-wasting
      But time spent with Berles
      And some other girls
He's still ready to give Harold a pasting

I loved your limpet piece today.

Limpet Lucy kept her head down beneath the covers so she missed the battle - she's a canny one.

          Michael,

“Limpet Lucy” is quite a gal!
          I enjoyed the read!

Love the painting! The colors are matching today’s sky...in my part of town! Very beautiful and soothing!

She's some gal - I've been married to her (actually her name is Jeanne) for 55 years and love her deeply - I wouldn't have it any different.

I'd have no problem if Limpet Lucy with ya permission cuddled up to me.

              Lighthearted all the way around
