What has happened that
I've turned my back
Completely on the past
I'm suddenly free of all of it
And grieving now at last
Didn't think I had it in me
To come alive again
Your turn to keep me in your heart
Your turn to be my friend
Release your hold and let me breath
The air of sunny Spring
Wait if you like but be discreet
Don't hang about the wings
Don't come back while smiles abound
To cast the kiss of death
Make up your bed and think towards
Your loamy sheets of earth

I certainly have the message you have so perfectly crafted that I was stunned as I read each line. 10 out of 10 for this one.
Could not agree more!
Glad I'm not the only one that responds with a comment, though I'd let you know š
Thank you Kevin - this was an epiphany...
Good write Lorna. Epiphany - that'll be Jan/Feb. lol.
Oh I missed that one Orchi - I don't get epiphanies in Jan/Feb .... just cold!

Lorna,
An emotional read...to say the least!
Your poem along with the video gripped my heart! Itās so hard! Just yesterday I had one of those melancholy days! I couldnāt let go of what was...but, I know I have to! It hurts!
A super poem and video! Thank you for sharing! Iāll certainly refer to them when another burst of melancholy makes its appearance!

What a nice thing to say - thanks Michael.

Does this mean we can expect to see more frequent posts from you? I hope so.
Aren't you nice Dusk - lately sometimes I just go dense on what to say ... I'll try to be more consistent because it does make me feel good to share with you all.
