Nature's Canvas.

Goldfinch60

I sit upon the hill

And there all around me

I see natures beauty,

I see the greens of the fields,

I see the browns of the trees.

I look up to the sky,

And there all above me

I see the blues of the sky,

I see the whites of the clouds

With such wonderful beauty surrounding me.

I sit there and realise,

Realise that I am so lucky,

So lucky to see it all,

All of Natures artwork,

Shown to me

On Nature’s vast canvas,

For my absolute enjoyment.

That's what I love about this country and those type of views are just at the end of my Lane - great reflective piece.

      • Goldfinch60

Thank you Michael. Yes I too am fortunate as those views are very close to me as well.

Your words are inspiring and gratitude shines through every line of this ode to the gift Nature offers to those who just sit and look. Thank you dear Andy for this lovely first read of my day.

Thank you Fay, nature is so wonderful and just to sit and look at it around you is so inspiring.

Beautiful isn't it. How many years we took it all for granted though.

And now theres another wind blowing because we realise we must now protect it for our childrens childrens children. They will see this world with their eyes and hopefully share our love of it and value it. But we must pass it on to them in good condition.

In my book "Forces of Creation - Scriptures," the very first definition is for Space - an eternal void, total vacuum, a reflective canvas.
A canvas is a surface that reflects what is created and how it is perceived, which your poem has painted in color.

                • Goldfinch60

Thank you Suresh, that canvas is there for us all to use with our seeing and our imagination.

It is such a beautiful poem! I think you capture one of the most important responses we should have to the world we live in and life in general: appreciation. We are so blessed to be surrounded by "Nature's vast canvas". Thank you so much for this lovely poem.

                    • Goldfinch60
