CHOICES.

Fay Slimm.

Choices.

When sleep leaves
and tendrils of light seep gently
into a dawn,
my opened eyes see
clearly
an adventure ahead.

I shall repent of any one minute
wasted in this glorious
nearly-new day
which early sings out to be taken
and seized, then
molded to what pleases me.

It is twenty four more hours
of life,
and make of it what I will,
I know it to be a
given time.

An exciting space.

Mine.

To choose what to be, victim
or hero,
to look below or above.

Will I peruse the stars or the mud ?

Shall I shine, or prevent love
lighting my heart,
or could I appear
to be happy yet feel sad
deep inside.?

There will be others who
inhabit this day
who might need me to show
them a way to smile.

Choices are free to be made
and I shall hope
to choose love's voice today.

I know that you a lover of the dawning day and here you show us your love of life and a wish to reach out and share its joy with any who find themselves temporarily unaware. For temporary it will be when your paths meet.

Life is full of them.. and of course risks too since every choice carries the risk that the wrong one might be made... if however we dont take risks and make those choices... have we truly lived to the full... a lovely poem indeed and no messin...... Neville

CARPE DIEM ~ SIEZE THE DAY !
24 Hours will soon be past
Only what*s done for Others will last !

Thanks for sharing FAY we live in a very unequal WORLD but in this one respect we are ALL EQUAL ! From getting up ONE DAY to getting up the NEXT we ALL receive ~ for better or worse ~ 24 very precious HOURS ! How we use them determines our SATISFACTION in LIFE (& LOVE) and our PEACE of MIND ~ We can USE them or ABUSE them ! The majority of PEOPLE between 25 & 100 are in work or have responsibilities caring for Young and / or Old. Consequently so much of our "normal" week-day is programmed and even those who live to Retirement follow routines !
In my case I have a few hours before 8:30am (when I leave for WORK) to meditate ~ post a Poem om MPS ~ peruse the paper etc. I am normally home before 6pm so I have another SIX hours to employ & enjoy and share & care. That is EIGHT hours each "working day" and another 30 hours at the WEEKEND which makes 70 PRECIOUS HOURS to do something positive with each week. So that is over 50% of my waking time is FREE for me to decide ~ How can I ever say again *I haven*t got TIME !* Of course I have to WASH ~ DRESS ~ COOK ~ EAT etc etc BUT that still leaves me about 5 free hours each working day and 24 @ the Weekend. WOW I never knew I had that much spare time ~ each & every WEEK ~ watch this SPACE ! Its 3pm now and Ive finished teaching for the WEEK so Im checking MPS in the Office ! Dont tell the PRINCIPAL !

        Blessings & Peace & Love
Yours as always BRIAN ~ 🧡🧡🧡🧡

You look ahead to a dawning day and choices you still have, I hope that by the end of day I didn't squandered my choices away.
        A very interesting read

Love is always the correct choice. There is no life without it. Every day filled with love becomes a treasure, without it, life is misery. "Wake up and love' should be humanity's motto.
Brilliantly expressed, Fay. Loved it. - Phil A.
