Michael Edwards

I said: ‘You set my heart aglow,

marry me please for you love me I know’.

Well the look on her face demonstrated her ire -

like a pregnant camel with its arse on fire.

She said: ‘No’

That sounds like a definite no!

    • Michael Edwards

      An even-toed ungulate was she
with just one hump - a dromedary.

      So a definite no.

    • Neville

I wonder what gave her the hump.....

my first chuckle of the day... thanks Michael

      • Michael Edwards

          Good fun write Michael.

Wonderful artwork, is this a new one or one from when you did several of these types of abstracts?

          • Michael Edwards

From an earlier batch - I am not painting in this style for the moment as I have quite a collection of them in the studio. I am currently concentrating on the seascapes which are currently selling so well and which will feature in the autumn round of exhibitions..

Oh lol, good write and pic Michael. I've never seen a pregnant camel with...….. ooh!

            • Michael Edwards

Not surprised - they move so quickly across the desert.

              • orchidee

Miss Berles ever ridden a camel?!

              • Fay Slimm.

Ha - a definite NO - and so she oughta after that most unromantic proposal. Am smiling again at your sense of humour my friend.

                • Michael Edwards

Well his heart was aglow but it wasn't her heart that caused it....!

GOOD MORNING UNCLE MIKE : Nearly 10pm here : Just relaxing with MAMA & PAPA with a glass of Rioja after a days *WINTER CRUISING* in the BAY (16C = 61F !). They lve it here ! Love the Painting and the Poem. There are Animals (Camels - Meercats - Frogs - Owls etc) which always give me a smile ! Mother Nature & DNA has a lot to Answer for ! If one orients the ABSTRACT through 180 it resembles the Coasts of the UK & France and the establishment of a Bridgehead on D-DAY !

Blessings & Love to YOU & YOURS
Yours as always : ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡

KInnell you made i larff. Bringing to mind a sight i have not yet seen. How long have you had this ability to pick up on those subtle little signals our gentler sex offer as bait?

Today your pic is of the well known yellow nosed green slime monster and i see you clearly have him poised over a charred turd today.

                      • Michael Edwards

Thinking about it it's not a sight I've seen either - a turbo charged camel. As for my picture - well I could sign it in every corner and and then it could be hung any way you choose. As for the charred turd - might paint one next - have you got one to spare?

                        • dusk arising

I published one on MPS last month.

                          • Michael Edwards

                            Can I have it?

                            • dusk arising

                              Dammit, you liked it!

                            • Suresh

                              One hump or two -
No ires in my tent please

                              • Michael Edwards

I couldn't manage more than one at a time so it's dromedary for me. lol

                                Hello .Michael,

                                A good write.

Rejection is brutal particularly when it comes to affairs of the heart.

                                The picture is stunning.

                                Keep writing FineB
