For us I invented

all that poetry, fold by fold

on the sheets of our life.

I’ve draped our windows with sheer gauzes of happiness

to enlighten our faces

with the morning lights.

You could see me through the veil of unselfish confidence

with whispers of hair to adorn my face

In the ethereal dream of love and faith, yes, I’ve created for us a divine space.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I keep being a guardian for birds nests but have not much success on protecting them. I go to bed and the next day they are gone. The eggs or even worse; the chicks 🐣 Although it is sad I understand that it is just the way nature is. Do not try to understand but accept it.

      Thanks for sharing MARIJOY : YES poetry is DIVINE ! BRIAN and I share Poetry (written & oral) to express our Love when we are separated by 11,500 miles (London to Auckland NZ) . Love the visual : Birds are awesome : BUT : the death rate among fledglings is very very high. We can provide BIRD BOXES in our Gardens and try to rescue & rear abandoned Baby Birds but it is very difficult as you have discovered ! Nature is RED in Tooth & Claw and BIRDS are an essential part of NATURES FOOD CHAINS & FOOD WEBS. We have opted out of the Food Chains & Webs which is why there are so many of us (7.6 billion !) and why we cause so much damage to the Environment ! Global Warming ~ Sea Level Rise ~ Deforrrestation ~ Deaertification etc. Its a BIG Subject !
