A fine write Gold. It is the person of the Holy Spirit living in hearts (and lives) of Christian believers, I believe. However great or small the flame may be, or great or small the flowing stream - both metaphors of the Holy Spirit. I would call Him (includes aspects of Her) God, though there are other gods (small g).
That Spirit is always there, it is probably the Holy Spirit but the way I am feeling about religion at the moment, especially the Christian Religion, the Spirit is the Force that I called God and has nothing to do with the Christian teachings.
My Spirit is the force that created the Big Bang and that force, My Spirit, will be there to infinity and beyond.

Absolutely!!! You dont have to be a victim of some man made church/religion to know there is a 'god/force/enegy/overseer/guardians/positive force' within and around us all.
Its awful to see christians claiming this is 'theirs' as if it didn't exist until they created it.
So very true d a, My Spirit has always been with me even when I was involved in Christianity. I still go to Church but I only go there to sing in the choir, if the choir breaks up, which in may do soon, that would be the end of Church for me. (The Choir is getting older and no youngsters are coming into it, there is only one person younger than me in the choir and she is sixty four!)
