The art world is ruled by pomposity
and sadly it’s got the better of me
but all is not lost for soon I shall be
reading arty bollocks for my PhD.

The art world is dominated by pompous 'experts' who speak in riddles - arty bollocks. If you want to see more visit Arty Bollocks Generator web site.

So very true, our daughter got her degree in fine art many years ago and is still painting but as part of the course she did the history of art, I and her older daughter are of the same opinion that she and anybody else cannot talk about art as they don't know. We have had some 'interesting' discussions in that passed. As you know I tend to "feel" art and apparently to her that is not the way to view art.
I did get one up on her though she wanted to go and see the Jeff Koonz exhibition at the Ashmolean, she didn't - I did!

I saw the JK exhibition a few months ago - I recall one of our members at our art Group saying she was taking a post grad art degree - the response was Don't you want to remain an artist any more?

Wherever you go - they invent their jargon to make their 'world exclusive - or should that be inclusive?

        • Neville

I reckon exclusive is about right.... ๐Ÿ™‚

        • ANGELA & BRIAN

Thanks UNCLE MIKE : ANGELA here 11pm Sunday Evening : Tempus Fugit ! BRIAN and I have different tastes in ART : BUT : WE KNOW WHAT WE LIKE ! Art in essence is a fusion of Colour & Space : The beauty and appreciation of ART is in the EYES & MIND of the Beholder ! BRIAN has spoken in the past of the ABSOLUTENESS of *White on White* *Black on Black* and the Classical *CHESSBOARD* AMEN. BRIAN sees all Art through the eyes & mind of a Sceintist ! He seeks to know the origin of HOOKERS GREEN : mentioned in Betjamens *CHRISTMAS*. Love the *RED PHONEBOOTH* its obsoleteness in 2019 made me even more HOMESICK : I was raised in LONDON ! Despite falling in Love with NZ : I cant wait for BRIAN to come and take me home in OCTOBER ! Ive persueded him to come for a WEEK because it will be so so difficult for Him to prise me away from AUCKLAND ! HOWEVER Im now in my Second Year and *Ive grown accustomed to Her FACE !*

Blessings & Peace & Love to YOU & YOURS
          Yours ANGELA ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก๐Ÿงก

Hookers green - a great colour which I mix with many others for different shades. Passed a green phone box yesterday now used as a first aid pot complete with a defibrillator. It always amazes me how different art forms appeal to different people.

Michael the world is dominated by money
            My favourite line today is
"If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at who he gives it to"

Your work my friend is the true art and rarely in life do we get what we deserve OR deserve what we get

            Great post today thanks

              An artist creates, doesn't evaluate
              An expert evaluates, doesn't create

              Outstanding visual

              • Michael Edwards
