Michael Edwards

Shoplifting’s not my game

so levy me no flak.

I’m not the one to blame

I suffer with my back.

Abandon it please let it be forgotten,

the ugliest word

I ever heard,

please stick to got and never ever say ‘gotten’.

I'm glad you have stopped lifting shops.. and now.... maybies (ha ha ha) your back will improve.

    • Michael Edwards

They are darn heavy - shan't ever try it again.

I nearly got caught once - put it down quickly and walked away with my hands in my pockets whilst whistling nonchalantly.

Good writes and pic M. Yes - and those Fire Exit doors in shops and other places. We know they must be kept shut. How we gonna get out? What's the use of keeping them clear at all times too?! Doh!

        • Michael Edwards

I was away this weekend and the legend on the hotel door was 'Fire Exit, Keep Shut'
So how is the fire going to get out?

          • orchidee

I'm gonna walk along those roads/streets you've painted! And - You seen Bill Stickers, or Bill Posters? Why they always prosecute those two?

Oh yes bad backs mean shops are too heavy to lift any more Michael and glad you have stopped or the condition would have gotten a lot lot worse. - - whooops - - I forgot................. big smile for the first read of my day.

Sorry about the pause Kathleen Ferrier was singing on the radio, I always listen to her, my favourite singer of all.

              • Michael Edwards

I have a disc of her songs sent to me by a very good friend - and I play it regularly - she was indeed wonderful.

So do I, I mean suffer
What's "gotten", that which is already "forgotten"

                Light and very enjoyable

                • Michael Edwards

Wish the shop was light - cheers Suresh

                  • Suresh

Yes, i too visited that shop, and no charges for shop lifting, not because I didn't try. No wonder it felt light, cause by the time I reached for "gotten", I had "forgotten".

                    Cheers
