Very sweet and ready to eat
Scent me I am so Juicy
Im ready to peel & I wont squeal
When cooked by your Aunty Lucy !
The taste of a PEAR is really quite rare
A taste that makes you sing
Blossom like snow : You can watch me grow
Im shaped like a Pearl Ear Ring !
The Joy of a PEAR : Im so delicate
My sight - My scent - My savour
A perfect food : any time of the day
Nothing compares with my FLAVOUR !
You can use me in Sweet & Savoury dishes
Serve me with ice cream : serve me with fishes
Serve me as a drink : PEAR CIDER : delicious
PEARS in your fridge : will fulfil ALL YOUR WISHES !

Ha ha - this tribute to one of my favourite fruits had me in stitches - - a grand and yummy write about a true gift from heaven - thank you dear duo........ from gigglin' Fay.
Thanks FAY : Its 7:30 am (WED) here and have just had breakfast and checking MPS to see it I got any comments : six and all lovely : including one from BIG BEAR (OSO GRANDE) = BRIAN ! Pleased you enjoyed the touches of humour : in their shape pears are rather amusing ! God had a sense of humour when He made OWLS - FROGS and of course PEARS !

As I remember Cochons D\'Inde (Guinea Pigs) loved any sort of fruit and had a good sense of smell for a Fine Pear ! Pleased you appreciated the Presentation !

I too enjoy pears and my favourite is the conference pear.

Yes such a lovely fruit - I like mine still a tad on the crunchy side but they go over very quickly.

They can be Rock Hard one day and Mushy the next ! Brians MAMA has a Pear Tree but she boils & bottles them : nevertheless they taste good : but nothing compares to the scent & savour & texture of a fresh - ripe Pear !

Love this poem and the fact that you morphed into a fine PEAR ~ Pick of the Bunch ! I love PEARS poached en Vino Tinto (RIOJA) and served with cream ! Most tinned pears we get in the UK are Bartlet but I prefer fresh ones ~ loved the video ! Most of the FRUIT in NZ (as I remember) is fresh ~ love the KIWI friut straight off the TREE!

Everyone in NZ are routing for ENGLAND (except the YANKS of course !). We have been watching Wimbledon as well. Pleased the UK is doing well but we were all shocked when VENUS Williams was beaten by a 15 year old : unbelievable ! Will talk on SKYPE before I go to work ! Fingers crossed for ENGLAND !

Yes, I too enjoy pears for their flavor, juiciness and a certain crunchiness that is distinctly pear. But, I also enjoy mangoes, nectarines and bananas, and what an excellent FRUIT CHAT they will make.
Thanks SURESH : ANGELA HERE ! Pleased you enjoed our PRESENTATION ! Every Fruit is special : in its own way and should be part of our FIVE Fruit & Veggies each day. F & V are packed with Roughage - Minerals & Vitamins. They should be eaten RAW or cookes as lightly as possible and the cooking water used a beverage - You know it makes sense ! We cant grow MANGOES - NECTARINES - BANANAS yet but with Global Warming we expect to be able by 2040. GW does have some advantages !
