My MUM is a great lover of ROSES and has a lovely ROSE GARDEN
which I tend and prune etc. She advised me *When you get you own
Home and plant your Rose Garden ~ Be careful which ROSES you put
in which BED ! Prince Charles wouldn*t like it if you put The Duchess
of Cornwall in the same bed as Thomas a Beckett ! Or Princess Diana in
with The Doctor ! Essex Soil is good for Roses ~ and we live quite close
to CANTS the World famous Rose Nursery so we have plenty of choice !

When I got the new CANTS CATALOGUE and looked at the names ~ My Scouse Mind made me think how appropriate to send *BRIDGE OF SIGHS* to a GRUMPY PERSON or *STAR PRFORMER* to ORCHIDII !

I just love roses and wish I had my own rose garden. Alas, my favorite scents are those from the lily of the valley and the beautiful lilac bush, all blooming in May!

The Red Rose is the Flower for Engand so we all grow them ! Lilly of the Valley does have a lovely scent ! We have LILAC BUSHES ~ Purple & White and they attract all the BUTTERFLIES we have about ten species the Faves are PEACOCK & RED ADMIRAL because they are so so colourful. We were routing for SERENA W in Wimbledon Ladies FINAL but she lost her touch & the Match 6-2 6-2 ! Also we now need a new UK Ambassador for the USA ~ I might Apply ! I will check your POEMS

Roses, a symbol of love, around the globe.
I always planted rose bushes in every property I owned, and three varieties that were the most aromatic - Lincoln, JFK and Double Delight.
Thanks SURESH ! Yes the AROMA of many ROSES is very powerful and adds another SENSE to the beauty of a ROSE GARDEN ! I like your choice very Patriotic ! Is Double Delight a Tribute to Michelle & Barak Obama ~ In the UK we miss their Charm Already !

We have a rose bush in the garden that was Joyce's mothers, she died in 1991, this year it has bloomed magnificently.
Thanks for sharing UNCLE ANDY : Angela here : It 9pm in NZ so another lovely SUNDAY is over til next week ! Every ENGLISH GARDEN should have at least one Rose Bush ! Rose Bushes sense our needs and bloom accordingly !
