Proverbial pain,
As the rock goes up,
Only to roll down.
A fine write and pic M. Is this Sisyphus Berles?!
Not to be confused with Syphilis Berles.
Oh no, no confusion - swoon!
Michael,
An interesting write...
I sincerely hope your new commission is not the ‘Sisyphean task’ referred to in today’s 575! 😉
I love the painting!
~Laura~
Good gracious no - I wrote this some time ago and I'm struggling to write new work at the moment so digging into archives. The cottage has now been totally renovated and looks nothing like this anymore - sad really but the old tin roof didn't look anywhere as attractive as it does in the idealised painting.
😄I was mostly kidding with you with my comment; hence the winking 😉 emoji!
Sorry - yes I know - meant to add an emoji in my reply but - aw I\'m getting so forgetful 😘
Not forgetful...
just very busy with your new commission!😘
Reads like me staring at my screen when my muse has done a runner.
I stare at the page
Unassisted by my muse
far too many gins
Thanks UNCLE MIKE for pic 'n poem. My study of PHYSICS informs me that what goes UP must (eventually) come down ! The DEPRAVITY of GRAVITY !
Blessings & Love to YOU & YOURS
Yours ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Does the reverse apply? lol
Oh the gravity of depravity !!
YES INDEED UNCLE MIKE ! TWO Birds in the BUSH are always better than ONE Bird in the HAND ! Touchee ~ BRIAN !
But none are as good as a bird in the lap !! 😊
OR LAPTOP EVEN ~ For those who surf the WEB ! BRIAN
Maybe if I read all parts I would comprehend this better? Anyway this is an awesome poem in brevity, great word choice. Kudos.
It's always nice to delve in to your muse on my reading tours.
Would you pls pleez give your thoughts/ comments on my newest poem too?
Thanks so much and I will.
