The early church continued
Steadfast, and Christ they viewed
With teaching, fellowship, prayers
And in Communion shares
Holy fear came on every soul
They did the Lord extol
Many wonders and signs were done
Through Christ, the risen one
All that believed, they were there
In a church strong and fair
They had all things common, for
They helped needy and poor
They sold of goods, possessions
As God's true daughters, sons
Distributed to people
Hearing the needy call
Continuing on daily
With one accord they be
In temple and homes meeting
They worshipped and did sing
Breaking of bread, Communion
All included, not one
Excluded, and ate food, glad
Single of heart, not sad
They praised God and had favour
With folk, who did savour
His presence there with them sure
Their Lord for evermore
He did add to church daily
Those being saved, they be
Members of the company
The church, Christ's body be

THANKS UNCLE STEVE ! Another great hymn and a powerful Ode based on ACT 2. That is the basis of a New Testament Pattern Evanelical Church, the key elements should be :
Believers Baptism ~ Bible Study (Apostles Doctrine) ~ Communion (Breaking of Bread) ~ Prayer Meetings & Fellowship ! ONE or more of these key elements are missing from Most Christian Churches ~ this causes them to be weak ! Its only when we go *Back to the BIBLE* that we find the TRUE PATTERN for an NT Church !

THANKS FOR YOUR *Q* OUT ~ basically its all a question of Faith in GOD and accepting Christs atoning Death for us on the Cross in AD 33 ! We are not saved by GOOD WORKS it is a Gift of God *It is by GODS GRACE we are saved ~ not through GOOD WORKS lest any MAN should boast* BUT the first step is too BELIEVE ~ OK ! *Those who come to GOD must believe that he acctually exists !* This is very difficult (almost impossible ?) for some ~ so they never make the first step. This explains why some members on this site are very ANTI anything overtly SPIRITUAL such as Christianity ~ OK !
