A SHEDFUL OF 575s (6)

A slamming car door

Crunching tyres on dry pebbles

Alone hereafter.

          OH!
          Oh Dear!
          OH DEAR MICHAEL!
          Neighbours???

Still unable to comprehend, having visited the sites. Explain it to me, the connection between the first two lines and the third.

Is it that someone left, screeching tires, thus being left alone?

          • Michael Edwards

The third line is the consequence of the first two. Thus car door slams and car departs leaving someone behind all alone.

Or if you like in this particular case car door slams, car departs and at last someone has escaped and is now on their own driving away. It's up to interpretation of the reader.
