I've never truly been defeated, not even when I was young
I'd pack up all my shit, put it into my bag of fuck it
Now I've learnt it's actually not all bad, you can carry it all in your hand
Nothing has managed to stop me getting this far
Every time I've let go of all I have, something always remains
In that moment I walk away from my mother & home
I faced a fear to be all alone, never to return home
All battles were lesson from every person I met
Finding the will power and never to forget, follow your own heart.
No matter who gets upset, emotions leads us to paths with no regret!

- Comment from author about the poem: Yesterday was dark but I'll never lose my spark, I'd like to thank the young brother I never new I had until a few years ago. As we share music and life stories to shine our souls back to the stars, remembering we are all, nothing can hurt us. Much peace and respect, no need to hold on just keeping living it.

That path of no regret will always be ahead of you Dan.
Indeed my friend and this morning it took me and the dogs to place we had never been, to walk in the morning sunrise. My life is the dream I make

That is what a poet does best 😉
Life presents us with lot of wringers, and as we traverse, most of us cope with them. Some never. You have come a long way with a rich future ahead.
While I disagree with fellow poets, if my actions were a cause of hurt to others then regrets are in order, to heal and move on.
May your future be all that is important.

I'm beginning to run out of words to big you up, but it's worth the effort to make such comments when we come across your poetry. It's not just a poem. there are thousands of places to find your own heart. It appears very clearly here that at last you have landed. Top bloke with an extraordinary glint across his love, poetry, his life and his willingness to share the moments in his life to others to learn from. You're doing great, my freind....!!!!

I believe we were friends, but when I went to private message your inbox I accidentally hit the ignore button which caused us to split up as friends. It almost broke my heart, Dan, you being my No:1 fan on here. However many attempts you made or make will only lead to one thing, success. Its' been an incrdible journey watching you and reading the poetry in which you write. Miracles do happen and in you, I perceive in every fibre of your being there sits a miracle, too.
