but unbeaten

dusk arising

in your face i see a wonder
in your eyes a chance to be
in a place i used to long for
a place which always escaped me

but in my heart i hold a feeling
for in my soul burn memories
how i crashed and burned in a living hell
and fell down to my knees

so if i seem a little hesitant
please dont think it that i dont want
and if i seem a little slow to start
i'm only proctecting my beating heart

     battered but unbeaten
                              my beating heart

Your beating heart is still beating and will take you past that hesitancy back to that place that was once your life.

I'm in no condition to be involved in romance at the moment.... better days ahead health wise i'm hoping and maybe other joys of living too.

In your energy I see a champion, a master of many wits. A heart that I admire, the will to never give in!

I even shed a tear, greatful to the life that got me here!
      Thank you

You are getting to where you belong and soon, very soon, you'll be able to close the door on those negative things of your 'before'..... doors can be opened when they need to be of course....

Closing that door, having lived behind it, has created your personality and character and taught you what love means, what it is and what it can be.... it's yours go out and get it.

History haunts us and makes us unsure, uncertain, afraid even....until we take one step beyond all that....
            . .. then a new life begins
