A PLEB’S WHAT I AM
A pleb’s what I am not a Sir nor a Ma’am.
Unelected monarchy I despise
built on a history of plunder and lies
heavily subsidised by the State
a life of false privilege – something I’d hate
in my mouth there was never a silver spoon
mmm
but if I’m lucky I might be one soon !!

Do they speak posh in Essex - the last bastion of the cockney accent. It's dying out in London and being replaced with a weird street slang - it's all gone barmy.
dunno whether I'm meant to chuckle but I sure am.... not heard the term pleb since I was at school....... then it smacks me in the face...
I've always loved the phrase: From Plebs to Prols - might use it in a poem sometime.
and why not....
I dunno any pleb-like lawyers?! heehee.
Working class stock and worked bloody hard but I got there. Now regarded as middle class but still a pleb at heart - and a daft one at that !!
You got an ology?!
Bugger the spoon, gimmie a good win on the premium bonds.
Hang on to the spoon - when you win you can stir it !
To Quote Frank Zappa
"You are what you is"
I sure is wot I am.
I too am not a pleb, in my life I have music, words, art, nature and the ability to enjoy them all, I might not have a silver spoon but I do have the wonder if life.
