Once more I was with My River,
So long since I had walked with my friend.
It was still there and greeted me with passion,
A passion that had grown between us.
Its clear green water smiled at me,
The more I looked into its greenness
The deeper became the smile,
And I knew that all was well.
The swans seemed to wave at me,
The crows bowed as I walked passed them,
The birds in the trees sang their hearts out
As I walked beneath them.
The further I walked
The deeper into pure harmony I became,
Knowing that My River
And My Spirit would meet
And together we would go on,
Go on together into eternity.

May you walk with your river forever - great write.
Thank you Michael, it was good to walk with it once more.
I was pleased to read your comments yesterday about your joy of more musical involvement. Unquestionably music has a magic which feeds your soul. And now this, your river.
Without the wants and needs of a younger man and mindful of the serious 'gone' in your life you seem to be doing a remarkably good job of living. Full marks to you.
Thank you so much for your kind words d a, I am now able to live without restriction knowing that Joyce is in a safe and caring place.
I'm with the guy with the brush in his hand up there..... nicely penned my friend...... Neville
Thank you Neville, most kind.
my pleasure.. ya national treasure ya........... Neville
The mystic feel of water your write here reminds me that I too walk by a stream just to deepen the connection with spirit -- may you always find the comfort of river-walking my friend.
Walking by water is so calming.
There is a sense of exhilaration again
There surely is Suresh, thank you.
I wish you many walks where you find peace like this... like slipping on a good pair of shoes or a well made suit... really felt this
Thanks for sharing Andy
Thank you Andrew, yes there WILL be many more walks like this, My River will always be there for me.
Sounds like you found your heaven on earth!
I think that I surely have Christina.
Oops, I missed this! A fine write again Gold. I don't like being too near the edge of rivers, if there are no safety barriers or greenery as 'barriers'.
Rivers and lakes are fine.
I used to go fishing many years ago and one time I was sitting beside a lake fishing, it started raining and before long I was sitting IN the lake fishing.
