it was odd shopping at sainsbuys
without her
she would suddenly disappear
and a game of
peek a boo - hide 'n seek
would ensue
hovering by the ice cream freezer
spellbound
he looked at her weakness
finally realising
there would be no sale today

This is one of them great little sad reads I like so much .. clever, well crafted and easily relateable to too sir.... N
Came to mind reading someone else's piece this morning. Just jolted it out. It must be true for so many ppl in many variations of my Sainsburys here. Thanks Neville, appreciate your kind words.

I always looked like a lost puppy....
