THE DREAM - THE REALITY

THE DREAM – THE REALITY

We stirred beneath the silken sheet

as morning light began to show.

We lay and kissed in firm embrace

in love our hearts  aglow.

We stirred beneath the silken sheet

our pillows wet with dribble,

with sour breath and musty mouths

and desperate for a tiddle.

Thank you Michael I needed that after my morning... with the dogs

    • Michael Edwards

Thanks Andrew - it was inspired when watching a film on TV where the two stirred and fell into a passionate embrace - I thought: oh no - yuk!!

Yes... at a certain age... That's what nostalgia is for

Wonderful Michael, you have done it again, I burst out laughing! Thank you.

Thanks Andy - I'm too much a realist and I did enjoy writing this one.

Doh! I was about to swoon, then the second verse came along! lol.
A ghastly thing is, e.g. 'An affair in Eastenders' is advertised. Just don't let us see any details - no bed scenes - *shudders in horror*.

            • Michael Edwards

E Stenders - any relation to X Stenders?

              • orchidee

They don't X tend in their acting. They're all made of wood. it was asked if a character is killed off. It said 'Is Phil dead?' (Mr Potato Head as he is known). I thought: 'When was he ever alive?!'

Best laugh of my morning so far Michael ................ so is the reality.

                • Michael Edwards

I've cut back part of the ivy against a perimeter wall and filled the green bin - I've showered, cleaned my teeth, had my third coffee, and now feeling knackered and it's only 11am . What's all this passion stuff?

                • dusk arising

Age brings the humour of accepting fallibility though passion will still reign.
                  Or is that rain?

                  • Michael Edwards

At my age passion only comes in fruit.

I guess now you’re having lunch...
                      and from what I read,
PASSION fruit is on your menu!
                      Enjoy!

                      with a smile! 😊

The colorful flowers in your garden are amazing!

Actually we have just had mango for dessert - the flower is an everlasting pea (Lathyrus Latifolias) - they come up every year and never let us down but sadly they don't have the perfume of the annual varieties.

                          So...

                          Mango...the reality - -
                          for today
                          Passion...the dream - -
                          for another day
                          LOL

The flower information is very much appreciated. Thank you!

Mango has long been part of our diet thanks to my wife, Jeanne, who recalls eating it in her childhood in Burma sucking on the stone with the juice running down here face - a different taste again when it is fresh and straight from the tree.

No matter how passionate but ...
                            - when one first awakes
                            - after a smoke
                            - a garlic or whatever
                            and so many more

                            I gotta go hygienic

..but passion is passion, it makes us all sub-human

                            Really enjoyed the reality
