Tune: Mannheim
('Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us')
Psalm 32 v.5-8
*********
My sins I did confess to you
Lord, who are holy and true
You did see my penitence here
I did bow in godly fear
And you did forgive, and me aid
The price of my sins you paid
So shall every one who godly
Be, they shall pray to you, see
In a time when you may be found
They shall hear the joyful sound
Of sins forgiven, it announced
By you, to us it pronounced
Surely in floods of great waters
You shall guide us to safe shores
They shall not us drown or o'erwhelm
Sovereign Lord, you at the helm
You my hiding place are, you shall
Preserve me, defend me well
You shall with songs here surround me
Of your deliverance free
You will instruct me and teach me
What your path and way will be
All-seeing, with your eyes you view
Me, and will guide me anew

It is good write Orchi but in my present feelings towards praying to god for the forgiveness of sins I take a big issue, Joyce in all her life prayed to god, did good in the world to all around her but all god has done is struck her down with this ******* dementia!!!!
I can't answer this. Not that you particularly asked me for an 'answer' anyway.
In John's Gospel, some disciples ask: 'Who sinned, that this man was born blind? Him, or his parents?' Jesus said 'Neither him nor his parents have sinned' - to cause this affliction.
what pardon, guilty as charged..
Thanks Neville.
Now that's positivity for you. Unfortunately during ones lifetime there comes along something you shouldn't be doing, but we all do so many different thing we are normally bound to break the Godly givens rules laid down by you God. Have faith a sernity will thrive without the conflictiond tripping you over. Gread read, orchi....
Thanks Kevin.
HI UNCLE STEVE ~ BRIAN HERE 3:30 PM ~ just getting round to the morning posts. Lecturing hIas ceased until September but I pop in every Monday to check the Post and Health & Safety in the LABS (we have 12 in the Science Dept and 3 store rooms / prep rooms full of lethal chemicals like Potassium Cyanide etc !) I am the Safety Officer and Chair of the safety Committee. Loved the HYMN & the POEM. If I am *overtaken in a fault* I do confess and ALWAYS know I have been forgiven by GOD and also ANGELA ~ AMEN
Blessings to you You & PUKKA PUP
love BRIAN & ANGELA ๐๐งก๐๐งก๐
Thanks B&A. Put that cyanide down Fido! Un-marked 18+ poems don't call for such drastic action to those who wrote them. Ohh, Fido gets too keen sometimes. lol.
Wonderful hymn, Steve!
Thanks Christina.
