Car Trouble?

Goldfinch60

There I was,

Driving to see my loved one,

Safe and sound in the care home.

Suddenly there was a problem!

I wanted to go left,

But the car was turning right!

Struggle as I did

The car just didn’t want to go,

Want to go the way I wanted.

So I let the car have its head,

Around the roundabout it went,

Up the road to the shopping precinct,

Into our normal car park,

And it stopped.

The engine went quiet

And try as I might

It would not start,

So I had to think about this

And went into my local,

Local coffee bar and had a coffee,

Americano, no milk, no sugar.

Drank my coffee,

Went back to the car,

It started easily,

And off I went,

Off to see my loved one,

With my coffee inside me.

My car really knows,

Really knows what I need.

A fine write Gold. Oh yes, I told people to say nice things to the photocopier. They didn't, so it played up. Well, they almost kicked it. Give it a chance to start, and switching it on at the mains helps quite a lot. lol.

When I was in Computing I was responsible for getting people in the organisation out of trouble with their computers. I had a 'phone call from a guy in a depot about three miles away who said he couldn't get his computer to work. I asked him all the right questions, including "Have you turned it on" he said yes but just couldn't get it to work. so in the car I got and went to the depot. I looked at his computer and found the problem immediately, he had not turned the power on at the wall. I believe I said some thing like "I do wish you had turned it on!". I know I was OK as I had asked the question over the 'phone.

Ahh yes, did it help, as you suggested he try turning the power on at the wall? Doh! heehee.

Your car was merely rewarding you for the love, care and attention you give.

Yes I did wonder how that happened.

I am doing that same journey today, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened.

                Andy,

You experienced one of those welcomed moments that are unexplainable! Your aim that morning was to go see Joyce...and you did! Miracles do happen!

My love to Joyce and to you!

                ~Laura~
