Reminded me of that farsical search for saddam's weapons of mass destruction. What we ended up with was blair's weapon of mass deception ... and maimed, wounded and dead participants.

That is so true. That was scrawled on a wall back in the sixties as:
"Fighting for peace is like f***ing for chastity"
