Somewhere Behind These Eyes
You can not punish me
With silence
My ears crave the hush
Neither can you hurt me
Now with poetry
For I am since blinded
And no longer crave or care
For words
So pray be still and quiet
Your moment is no more
But gone and truly lost
Such moments are but sins tho
At least they are in my book
And still in draft form
Somewhere behind these eyes

Those words will forever be within you and within others as we read them on the page.
Thank you kindly my friend and poet.... another welcome visit and true... N
A fine write N. I won't punish ya with silence - rather with sound - of me singing! heehee.
I'm cruel - I must punish everyone then! lol.
just a little then go pop a purple pill or two... ta.. N
Aww, why I keep knocking my own singing, saying it's like two cats fighting etc? And why do I keep insulting cats?! heehee. Help! I took a blue pill or two - swoon!
Words that break needed silence are but as this strong poem relates - a sin of sorts........... behind the eyes is where memory stores hurts....... An engaging read again Nev.
Ah.. it seems you can see write through me our Fay.... many thanks for taking a peek under the surface....
Reads like wishful thinking. The desire to forget that which haunts ones mind.
Last verse is a nice twist.
a twist in time saves nine or summat... cheers DA.. much appreciated as always sir....

Broken words that fall on arid lands
will no more grow again
nor will the words you sow on unreceptive minds.
Just had a little poetic moment inspired by your fine write N.
I have been bested..... well done you Michael...
Not bested but appreciative .
