Lord, you have searched, known me
All my life you see
You know when I sit, rise
To you no surprise
You know my thoughts from far
You bright Morning Star
Stay now, be my comfort
This my happy lot
You understand me full
You hear when I call
You surround my pathway
Ever with me stay
All my ways you do know
And all here below
Nothing hid from your sight
Bright e'er shines your light
You know all words I speak
May I humble, meek
Speak of what does please you
With your grace renew
Before I say any
Words, few or many
You Lord know what they be
Omnisciently* (*all-knowingly)
You are behind, before
Me, your presence sure
Is there always, no place
Be hid from your face
You have your hand on me
Now and constantly
Beyond my full knowledge
You to me do pledge
So here my response be
Search me God, and see
Know my heart, and try me
Know my thoughts, whole, free
See if there any way
Wicked here today
Within me, and lead me
To e'erlasting day
