evening descends

dusk arising

evening descends upon my ears
as dusk creeps from the shadows
and the cooling summer air
is punctuated by the sweetest
music of a blackbird sonata

why do you sing my beauty
soothing my troubles away
is your song of the love of existence
for surely yours is a world
much finer than which i see

you and the night
and your music
dear sweet wild soul
i am lost in reverie

Ah - - this soothes as it is read - and full of gentle acceptance that birdsong needs our attention when "evenings descends" - one of my favourites is this sweet tribute.

Sonata is fine the nocturne is sung by the robin. It is so wonderful to listen to natures symphony as we walk through the wilds of our land.
