Interlude

FredPeyer

Whisper I love you one more time

Hold me tight and make me whole

Bless me with your lovely smile

Look deeply into my broken soul

Make me believe we are one

Allow me the illusion you are mine

Pretend it is all games and fun

That everything between us is still fine

Let’s not talk about the past

Nor future thoughts intrude

We both knew it would not last

This wonderful loving interlude

Good to see you writing again Fred.

Heartfelt piece today which speaks of love after a heartbreaking time and fear that things will never be as meaningful as before.
Surely a fear which resides within everyone in a meaningful relationship and is a great deterrent to stray.

    Thanks Dusk!
Once in a while I get sentimental. This was one of these times. Thank God it is only imagination!

  • Michael Edwards

Great tender write - a feel good piece in the very best of senses.

Was listening to "For the good times" by Kris Kristofferson. See what happens when you listen to music!

Wonderful loving write Fred, may it go on forever.

      • FredPeyer

Thanks Goldfinch, but I guess in today's fast living time it will be forgotten tomorrow!

        A fine write Fred.

Thank you Orchidee, see my answer to Michael. I guess the ideas have to come from somewhere.

        • Fay Slimm.

A bitter-sweet write that reaches the heart Fred - - do hope you and your work will be back before long.

          • FredPeyer

            Thanks so much Fay!
I will be back every so often, but not every day. So if I don't comment on your fine work it is only because I did not see it. I love your writing!
