guilty

dusk arising

guilt

there she is
before me
a beautiful child
demanding
with indignation
that i act now to stop
polluting her world
telling me righteously
i will not be forgiven

i'm guilty

what can we do today and tomorrow
so we can look into our grandchildren's eyes?

What can we do indeed? She was so OTT but boy did she get her message across.

Yes, I definitely felt it. Schooled in narrative she may have been but the world needed to hear it.

I was given to this world I did not make it, I see it as my garden and don't create traffic! We've been sick for a while but the only way forward is to keep knowing, we are the answers!

      Great write!

I agree Dan but with a big proviso. We are only the answer if we are prepared to do something about it..... otherwise we are just killers who couldn't care less when we were tested.

Yet we don't have to feel guilty when some say 'Oh, the past; the good old days; life was better then'. I doubt it was all good. It was just as bad (and just as good) as today's day and age, I reckon.

10/10 for missing the point m8.

Doh! lol. I was thinking in reverse maybe, about 'oldies' who say 'Oh, it would never have happened in our good old days'.

Those in power do not want to do anything as they might lose power and money.
We can try and tell them but they will not listen.

Goldfinch when a competitor arrives who sells a green product and we buy it the old school boardrooms will hear it... loud and clear...... every one of us has to start somewhere.

Now that is one helluva question... well asked my friend...

it shows that you care... and I reckon, we all must...

              • dusk arising

Where to start though is a difficult question. I guess making one green alternative choice per visit to the grocery store is a beginning.

                • Neville

that is a fine and practical beginning and just imagine the global impact if everyone followed that example.... N

Well said. We are all guilty but we need to begin cleaning the universe and not just earth but it is getting rid of all the negativity including guilty. Guilty is one of the garbage that needs to be cleaned. Remember that we are all connected and what I do affects you and me. And vice versa. We need to begin cleaning our mind and heart. If we do so the rest will fall into place.

Whereas i support your spiritual approach i have to tell ya ... WAKE UP!! its too late.... We all need to take positive actions NOW to reduce our ruining of this physical world.
If you don't feel guilty of polluting our planet then shame on YOU because we are all guilty of it. We all buy products which pollute... and i am no better than you in that respect today. But i will make the effort to make changes in what i do to the physical world we pass on to the future.

Dear Dusk, I totally understand your anger and I apologize for not make you happy about my comment. The physical world is the consequence of our mixed feelings and thoughts. We need to clean but we need to begin cleaning inside our house. Or even better, cleaning inside and outside at the same time. And I keep saying, feeling guilty is not a solution but working on it yes, is a solution. Not only guilty but all the mental garbage we carry. Not saying the young girl is doing wrong. I wish people could understand better.I love you my friend. With all my heart ❤️

Our thoughts, our actions, our sensibility, have all been hi-jacked by the ignorant and the arrogant - the cries, at best, leave us momentarily ashamed.
