Luke 11 v.9-13

Ask, and it shall be given you
These our Lord's words spoken true
And too seek and you shall sure find
The Lord shall reveal, He kind
Knock, it shall be opened to you
The Lord's graces you shall view
For each one that asks does receive
They that seek do find, believe
To those that knock, door it shall be
Opened, they gain entrance, see
For if askign bread of father
Will he give a stone rather?
Or if asking a fish, will he
Give a serpent harmfully?
Or if asking an egg, will he
Give scorpion fatally?
So then if we in sinful state
Know how to give gifts good, great
How much more your Father above
In heaven, out of His love
Shall give you good things, ask, seek, knock
He your requests shall not block
The Holy Spirit He shall give
To those who ask, they full live

For me - should I sometimes be asking when I my be knocking? Or seeking when I should be asking? Or any of the other combinations?
