DISCOVERING A NEW CAVE ! ๐Ÿ’™ BRIAN ๐Ÿ’™

ANGELA & BRIAN

LIMESTONE CAVERNS WITH STALACTITES (DOWN) & STALAGMITES (UP) &

COLUMNS WHERE THEY JOIN ~ ARE FOUND ALL OVER THE WORLD !

WE WERE JUST FOURTEEN ~ When the CAVE we found

We loved exploring Limestone Caverns underground !

CARBONSHIRE is famous for its lovely Limestone Caverns

With its Rocks & Minerals displayed in all its Local Taverns !

For Tourists Spooky CAVES with Bats & STALACTITES & MITES

Were always one of CARBONSHIRES main touristy delights !

One day we were walking ~ with our DOGS ~ along a mound

When suddenly FONZ disappeared ~ we could hear his Howl !

We traced his Howl ~ and FONZ was found

Trapped upon a narrow ledge TWELVE FEET Underground !

We lowered a Rope ~ anchored from above ~ I had to be brave ~ and

Climb down to save MY FONZ ~ the DOG I LOVE !

I shone my Torch ~ and saw to my surprise

Below the ledge a Limestone Cavern of ginormous size !

I climbed back down the rope again ~ and reached a Cavern

Bigger than the ones we*d seen last year in SPAIN !

This one was ginormous ~ pristine and unexplored

Filled with MITES & TITES & COLUMNS ~ from the Ceiling to the Floor !

We found an old shed door ~ and sealed the Cavern ~ CLOSED

And painted on it *DANGER HOLE ~ DO NOT OPEN ~ DO NOT NOSE !

We photographed and measured the Caverns full extent

Then CARBONSHIRES County Council ~ concealed it with a TENT !

The CAVERS from the CAVING CLUB thanked us for what we*d done

And explained  it was a Blocked off Cave connecting one already known !

Today Our CAVE *THE FONZ* has lights & stairs & steps ~ OPEN FOR EVERY ONE !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ LOVE BRIAN ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

Have you ever visited a LIMESTONE CAVERN or been POTHOLING ?

There really is a new & exciting experience right under your FEET !

Ahh, good, you rescued your 'Fido'! Some wish I would leave him my Fido in the cave (for while, not permanently), but I can't do such a thing. He's got to do his watchdog duties on here! lol.

    • ANGELA & BRIAN

Good Morning UNCLE STEVE ~ Pleased you enjoyed my Presentation ! DOGS always getting stuck in places ! However I'll forgive FONZ because he found a NEW CAVE ! As for FIDO where would MPS be without his *BLUE PENCIL & 18s*. Thanks for reading !

Blessings & Peace to You & Watchdog Woofer !

Or - put that red marker pen away Fido - where you keep deleting 'swoony' lines of poets! He is in his study now, with his specs on, looking distinguished, checking poems!

Great and entertaining story Brian. I admire pot-holers with a healthy fear in my heart. I'm a big chap you see and thoughts of getting 'stuck' haunt my thoughts which would become nightmares should i let them.

Do you still have the lucky animal. One wonders what went through his/her mind when the world gave way underpaws.

          OLD FONZ has gone where
          The Good Doggies go
No more oer the Hills will we roam
          My COMPANION and Friend
Stayed with ME to the END
          And I*ll join Him again
In Our Wonderful Paradise Home !

Thanks for your comments DA ~ that was 22 years and alas DOGS dont last for ever ! Im over 6 feet but still young enough (36) to be slim enough for HOT POLING ! Water is the biggest danger especially if the entrance gets flooded. Hi Tech Mobile Phones do work underground so one can alert the CAVE RESCUE TEAM ! There are strict Safety Rules to which all serious Cavers adhere. The same as with serious Fell Walkers & Mountaineers. Mobiles phones are a real boon for such activities. Youth organisations such as Scools - Youth Clubs - Sailing Clubs - Scouts & Crusaders are very very Safety Conscious in the 21st C !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

A wonderful account of finding a cavern and how............. dear Fonz is now forever remembered when folk look for his hole in the ground and discover an array of glorious "mites and tites" that might never have been noticed before his fall. An exciting read Brian and thank you for sharing the adventure you experienced.

THANKS FAY ~ Pleased you enjoyed my story from the Past ! My DAD loves CAVES and introduced us to the wonder of *mites & tites* when we were very young. There are still hundreds of unexlored Limestone Caverns in the World all you need is an inquisitive DOG like the FONZ to locate them ! Thanks for your continued support !

I go to Belize often. One of the things that they are very famous for are their caves that are filled with stalagmites and stalactites. I have never seen them though. Maybe you should go one day.
