The Lady in White.

Goldfinch60

In she walked,

This tall slim lady.

Blonde hair waving,

Waving from side to side.

Her face beautiful to look at,

Her long chiffon dress

Sailing in the breeze.

Her slim legs walking,

Walking in high heels

That glided across the floor.

All looked around at her,

She just looked ahead,

In her own world.

A beautiful elegant lady,

The lady in white.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Saw this lady in the coffee shop. Lady in red was sung to my wife one day as we were eating in a restaurant, the restaurant had a singer entertaining the customers and he came over and sang this song to Joyce who was wearing a red dress that evening.

Elegance and pride - so few even make the effort these days. It amazes how scruffybmost look despite the proliferation of designer clothing. Graceful write Andy.

So true Michael, there is still something to admire in well dressed people of both sexes.
