if I stopped sounding like
i'm falling in love with you
do you think we could meet?
meet out there somewhere, where,
well, where we could just enjoy
that buzz we get out of
chatting those hours away online
No big shakes
because love gets messy
and I don't need messy love
bloomin sure you don't either.
Wouldn't it be fun
to have a pal
at the other end of the country
someone who'd be a bolt-hole
when u just need to bugger off
with no questions asked
no favours expected
nor commitment
just a safe place to go,
with someone who
is on the same song sheet.

No use asking me to sing from the same sheet! lol.
I've got my own bolt hole - a studio remote from the house where I can listen to real music with the fire on and paint to my hearts content in a 'Strictly-Come-Dncing freee zone' - heaven.
Those 'bolt holes' are so important in our lives. While I was looking after Joyce my 'bolt hole' was writing words - now it seems to be croquet!
Yes,
(at the other end of the country)
Is the only way one can remain
(just friends)
but that's how it rarely play out.
I love the way this reads, the way it trips off the tongue and I love the fact you articulate a need that I think many of us both want and need.... nicely poemed DA....N
