It sits here in front of me,
Absolutely blank!
What can it mean?
It means I haven’t written,
I haven’t written anything,
Yet!
What will I write today?
It could be fun,
Full of humour
To make others laugh,
Or just grin.
It could be sad
Bringing tears to your soul,
Showing the Ills in this world,
A world that is losing,
Losing the battle,
The battle with survival.
It could be happy,
Showing that in spite of worries
People can move on,
Move on to a better life,
Whether they live on this world,
Or not.
But no!
Today I am a writing these words,
These words that have fallen,
Fallen from my heart,
Onto this page.

A fine write Gold. Do a Silent Poem - no words in it, of course. And who knows how many verses it has? Could run to millions! heehee.
Thank you Orchi.
I am still writing that silent poem, taken five hundred and twenty three years so far!
Great! When ya publishing it? Memories of 1066 in it?
Thank you for this first read of my day dear Andy - Words from your caring pen are always welcome my friend - wishing you a very pleasant Sunday.
Thank you for your wonderful kind words Fay, much appreciated.
Nice one Andy.
Thank you Michael.
Absolutely so true, what a fruitfully food for thought delightful page it is.
Always appreciated
Thank you Dan, most kind.
I suppose I should challenge you, Andy, to compose a poem to be set to the music of John Cage. Take a listen to his piece entitled 4' 33" which he composed (supposedly) in 1959, but I think he had been working on it for years. It doesn't really matter which version you hear they are all of equal musical prowess, however the rendering by David Tudor is the most revered.
I'm trying not to be boastful when I say that I can actually play this piece blindfolded.
Ex animo, Alan
Too late Alan, I have already mentioned this one, see my Poem The Roar of Silence dated April 14th 2017.
Thanks for pointing me in the direction of 'The Roar of Silence' Andy. I must admit though I never thought much of William Marx' rendition. It was OK to perform this piece in 1959 but nowadays you would just arrive at midway, second movement and a mobile phone would ring. The very worst performance of 4' 33" was, of coarse, by Eric Morecambe.

It was the essence of the words, such as yours, that allowed our species to become creative.
Thank you Suresh for your wise words.
just let the heart bleed my friend
Those words will keep on staining the page Ron. Thank you.
you`re welcome andy, and let it flow
