What a wonderful evening,
An evening of good food
Served with pleasure,
And cooked with love.
An evening of humour,
An evening of laughter,
An evening of words,
Words so meaningful
All served with glory,
With glory and wonder
The glory and wonder of good friends.
Thank you is not enough,
Not enough for that evening,
But that is all I can say,
But I can say it with these words.

A fine write Gold. There's a piano in a Shopping Mall in our town. Hardly anyone plays it. Are they scared I will accompany them and sing?! heehee.
Thank you Orchi.
We love entertaining with our friends but thanks to Jeannes injury it has been a bit curtailed of late. However we are taking the plunge and having friends round in a couple of weeks time. I will do most of the work under Jeannes supervision - she will still only have the use of her left arm and I am no cook - but I'm sure between us it'll all be oka. We will do one of Jeannes Burmese curries -
should be a great night. Great write Andy.
Sounds like a great night to come. I have been cooking for over sixty years. People talk about fast food, the other night I was late back from croquet and had to go out again so I cooked lamb chops potatoes, Greens and broccoli in half an hour. On the other hand for one of Joyce’s special birthdays I took two days. The most important ingredient in any cooking is love, love must always be in the cooking.
Sorry I’ve gone on a bit but cooking has always been a passion of mine.
I am sure you will enjoy your evening.
We'll be having plenty of side dishes and the smells will permeate our Close - one of the many joys of having a wife from far away.
GOOD AFTERNOON UNCLE ANDY - Angela here ! Love those PIANOS in Rail Stations I cant resist playing a bit of BACH ! Love the BOOGIE WOOGIE duet ~ very uplifting !
Ahhhhhhh DINNER @ HOME with Friends the ultimate Dining Experience - Its surprising what Fine Wines people keep in their sideboards ! They know Im a connoisseur so they only serve the best. We have a Home Dining Club @ the Catholic Church with about 30 Members. I use my Parents Home and we can seat 10 ! We always serve a Good Rioja Tinta ! Each Party raises about £200 (= $260) for CAFOD ~ OK ! Love your poem !
Blessings & Peace to YOU & YOUR Lovely JOYCE
Love ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡💙🧡💙🧡
It certainly is the ultimate experience, we were still talking about how good it was the following day when we saw each other. Thank you Angela.
Glad you had such a good time Andy. Wonderful write!
Thank you Christina, it certainly was a great evening.
An evening spent in thankfulness;
a song upon my breath,
whose argent prose your heart well knows
is lost alone; a-lethe
and sleeping here, we are so few,
but many seem to stay:
We rest within the heart's wellspring
and whisper loves away.
Thank you Reivax, much appreciated.
then it seems a good time was had by all.
I am happy for you my friend.... and truly..
Thank you Neville, it was a great evening full of good food and laughter (it would have been good wine as well but I was driving).
Ah'.. very near almost perfect..... hope you had one when you got home....
I was forced to finish the evening at home with a drop of Laphroaig Triple Wood malt, very nice end to the evening.
I have a bottle of the very same here.. well not a full bottle .. not anymore.. cheers
I can never seem to find a full bottle in my cabinet.
funny that..... maybe we need to form an appropriate cult...... N
